The VBOS team is led by a collection of seasoned executives. They bring complementary skills and experience across several domains, including: Software development and application design, operations, channel development, telecom carrier operations, and finance. Many of the company’s key executives have had start-up successes to go along with considerable corporate management experience.
Craig Hill – CEO, Chairman of the Board
Mr. Hill has over 30 years experience in the Information Technology and Telecommunications fields. Prior to founding Virtual Back Office Software, Inc. (VBOS), Mr. Hill was founder and president of Global Telephone, an innovative and fast-growing integrated communications provider and specialty carrier. He was also the co-founder and president of Cortex Corporation, one of the computer industry’s first CASE (software that writes other software from specifications) companies. Under his leadership, the company doubled in revenue each year, opened operations in twenty countries, and became the required standard for DEC computer application development in such companies as E. I. DuPont, Michelin, and Eastman Kodak. Cortex was acquired in 1992. Mr. Hill also had varying management, technical and marketing jobs in Inforex and IBM. He received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering and B.S. in Math Rose Hulman and Ursinus.
Joseph Jones – President
Joseph Jones has worked for over 18 years in the Information Technology Field. Prior to being CTO at Virtual Back Office Software, Joseph was Directory of Information Technology for Global Telephone and Manager of Computer Operations for Caravan For Commuters. Both positions focused on building high performance back office systems to be implemented on wide area networks. Before Caravan, Joseph was a partner in Technology Resources, a company focusing on selling hardware and network integration services. Joseph was also the founder of Next Vision Consulting, which provided consulting services as well as programming and system integration classes. Joseph has a BS in Computer Engineering from Boston University.
